Are you passionate about delivering positive changes to the people of the Black Country?

Do you want to join a talented workforce who deliver the best possible patient care?

Based in the heart of the Black Country, The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust is the main provider of acute and community services to the populations of Dudley, and other parts of the Black Country, West Birmingham, South Staffordshire and North Worcestershire. We also provide a range of specialist services, some of which are accessed by people across the UK. These include vascular surgery, endoscopic procedures, stem cell transplants and specialist genitourinary reconstruction.

We have a workforce of over 7,000 people making us the second largest employer in Dudley. We have annual turnover in excess of £500m. The Trust serves a population of around 450,000 people from three hospital / clinical sites at Russells Hall Hospital, Guest Outpatient Centre in Dudley and Corbett Outpatient Centre in Stourbridge. The hospital provides secondary and tertiary services such as maternity, critical care and outpatients, and an Emergency Department. We provide a full range of community services including adult community nursing, end of life care, podiatry, therapies, and outpatient services in people’s homes and from a range of community venues across the borough.

We are a designated teaching hospital of the University of Birmingham with more than 100 undergraduate medical students undertaking placements with us.

Our hospitals are among some of the most technologically advanced in the country, where state-of-the-art equipment and modern, purpose-built buildings combine to create the highest standards of patient care. This includes the introduction of several virtual wards and an increasing focus on robotic technology.

We work closely with our health and social care System partners who provide acute, mental health community and ambulance services.  We are one of the four acute Trusts that make up the Black Country Provider Collaborative.

Vision

Our vision is to be a healthcare provider for the Black Country and West Midlands which provides excellent healthcare, improved health for all.

We seek candidates who share our commitment to EDI and will actively contribute to advancing these principles within our workplace and the broader community.

We want to ensure our workforce is representative of the population we serve. We welcome applications from all sections of the community and diverse groups. We work hard to understand our demographics, monitor our performance as an equal-opportunity employer, and continue to embed a culture of inclusivity across the organisation. To support this process, please take the time to complete the equal opportunity questions. The shortlisting manager will not see this criterion; therefore, it cannot be part of their decision-making.

The Trust is committed to employing and supporting people with disabilities. We are governed by the public sector equality duties and by our values of Care, Respect and Responsibility to ensure we eliminate discrimination, harassment, victimisation, and any other unlawful behaviour which undermines our core values and falls short of our Behaviour Framework. We want our staff to report behaviour from colleagues, patients, or visitors that constitutes the above and appropriate action to be taken.

We have staff networks in place to help support the staff experience of diverse staff groups and inform us of the actions, interventions, and support that we need to put in place to improve the working lives and daily experiences of all colleagues and all teams. Anyone can join the networks, and we take pride in having Allies as part of every network within the organisation.
