The Dudley Group is pleased to welcome Dawn Wardell and Paul Bytheway as the Trust’s newly appointed Chief Nurse and Chief Operating Officer.
Dawn Wardell joins the Trust from George Eliot Hospital in Nuneaton where she was Director of Nursing and Quality and brings with her a wealth of senior nursing experience.
Dawn said, “I’m delighted to have been appointed as Chief Nurse here at The Dudley Group and am looking forward to getting out there and meeting the staff on the front line over these next few weeks.
“I’m passionate about what I do and will work hard to make sure the Trust continues to provide the highest quality nursing care to the people of Dudley.
“Like all Trusts, Dudley has areas where it excels and areas where there is room for improvement. I want to build on our excellent practice and make sure we reflect this everywhere to deliver a truly first class service in everything we do.”
Paul Bytheway joins the executive team from his previous role with the Trust having worked as Director of Operations for Medicine and Community since August last year.
A registered nurse by profession, Paul is responsible for the day to day operations of the Trust and supporting the strategic goals of the organisation.
Paul said, “I’m really looking forward to taking on this new challenge and building on the Trust’s many successes so far. We’ve already proven that Dudley is capable of being the best in so many areas, and I’ll be working hard to support our teams across the hospital and in the community to make sure we continue our excellent performance”
Welcoming them to Dudley, Chief Executive Paula Clark said “I’m so pleased to be able to welcome Paul and Dawn to our executive team and am looking forward to working closely with them.”
