Mr Bansal is an experienced shoulder and elbow surgeon. His special areas of interest are sports injuries, dislocations, rotator cuff tears and arthritis of these joints. He specialises in keyhole surgery for shoulder and elbow joints. He regularly performs shoulder replacement surgeries and pioneered patient specific shoulder replacements in the unit, which has helped patients with advanced shoulder arthritis problems. He has keen interest in upper limb fractures, and is also the lead for hip fracture service in the Trust.
Besides he has keen academic interests; updating himself with regular international conferences, taking active part in training junior doctors, and leading research projects and scientific publications.
