Dr Deepa Rattehalli graduated from the University of Leicester in 2004 and completed her postgraduate training in the West Midlands. She completed a JRCPTB accredited Post CCT Small Bowel Fellowship in Sheffield in 2015 where she trained in capsule endoscopy/enteroscopy and endoscopy training. She has been a consultant gastroenterologist at Russells Hall Hospital since August 2015. Her areas of sub-specialty interest include inflammatory bowel disease, capsule endoscopy and colonoscopy training. She is actively involved in IBD research. She is the educational and IT lead for gastroenterology. She is a senior academy tutor for the University of Birmingham medical school. In her spare time, she is passionate about travelling.
