The Dudley Group is on the lookout for enthusiastic and passionate people to join its amazing team of volunteers. Anyone interested in volunteering is invited to attend a Volunteer Open Day on Monday 6th June.

The event, hosted by Chief Executive Paula Clark and Chief Nurse Dawn Wardell, starts at 10am in the Lecture Theatre at Russells Hall Hospital.

The open day, which will also mark National Volunteers’ Week, will give guests the opportunity to speak to some of the Trust’s 400 volunteers and hear from members of staff about the invaluable input volunteers make to patient experience.

From providing hot drinks and helping out at meal times, to making sure patients can find their way to appointments, volunteers help in a variety of ways across the Trust’s three hospitals.

“Our volunteers kindly give up their own time for us and the work they do in many different areas across the Trust really is invaluable and greatly appreciated,” said Paula Clark, Chief Executive.

“Anyone over the age of 16 who would like to make a difference in Dudley can apply to become a volunteer at the Trust, whether they can spare a few hours a week around existing commitments or want to give their time more regularly, we’d love to hear from them.”

Anyone wishing to attend can book a place by calling 01384 456111 extension 1064 or emailing communications@dgh.nhs.uk
