The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust is pleased to announce that four new non-executive directors are joining the Trust’s executive board.
Peter Featherstone, Dr Ita O’Donovan, Anne-Maria Newham MBE and Dr Mohit Mandiratta have all joined the board and bring with them many years of experience in healthcare.
Dr Mohit is a former governor of the Trust, a position he held for four years. He qualified as a GP through the Dudley VTS scheme in 2013 and has spent the last 10 years working at Feldon Practice in Halesowen, where he enjoys the role and responsibility as a GP partner. His experience in primary care has given him insights into the health needs of local people, which will help strengthen the work the Trust are doing.
Anne-Maria’s previous roles include executive director of nursing at Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and has previously held the role of deputy chief executive at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. In addition to her extensive experience in the NHS, she is currently chair of a healthcare company that provides care for children with life-limiting illnesses in their own home and was also awarded an MBE in the Queen’s Honours in 2018 for services to nursing.
Peter is a pharmacist by background and has previously held senior leadership positions across other NHS organisations. He has experience in service improvement and efficiency and has a good understanding of the local health and social care landscape, having lived in the West Midlands for the majority of his professional life.
Dr Ita has joined the board as an associate non-executive director. A former social psychologist, she has previously held the role of chief executive, strategic director and corporate director at various local authorities in London and the Midlands. Ita started her career as an academic at the School of Public Policy, University of Birmingham in 1985.
Trust Chair Sir David Nicholson said: “I am delighted to welcome all four to our team at The Dudley Group. Our aim is for the population of Dudley to receive the right care at the right time, whether that’s out in the community or in hospital, and our talented new colleagues will help us to deliver that goal.”
