What is the Chief Nurse Fellowship Programme?
It is an opportunity for Nurses, Midwives, Theatre Practitioners, AHPs and Health Scientists, including pharmacy roles, in both the Acute and Community settings to be seconded for one day per week for 12 months. The opportunity is open to anyone in the above roles at Band 6 to 8b. The secondment will enable the Chief Nurse Fellow to develop clinical leadership, service transformation and research skills by undertaking improvement practice and leadership learning sessions, as well as delivering a specific quality improvement project.
The quality improvement project needs to be underpinned with evidence and recommendations that could potentially be transferrable across the organisation and beyond. To achieve this, support will be provided by the Research and Innovation Team if appropriate to publish and share your findings.
