Acting medical director appointed by The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust
The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Matt Banks to the post of Acting Medical Director.
Dr Banks, who is currently Chief of Medicine for the Trust, will take up his position on 1st October 2016 when existing Medical Director Dr Paul Harrison takes up the role of Acting Chief Executive.
Dr Banks has headed up the Medicine and Integrated Care Division since 2014 and brings a wealth of clinical and leadership experience to his new role on the Board of Directors.
“I am proud to work at The Dudley Group and I look forward to the challenges involved in working as a medical director and leading clinical teams committed to providing high quality medical care,” said Dr Banks.
Dr Banks joined the Trust in 2003 as a consultant interventional cardiologist. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and a member of the British Cardiovascular Society, and the British Cardiac Interventional Society.
Trust Chair Jenni Ord said, “We are pleased that Dr Banks has accepted the post of Acting Medical Director and know he will bring his clinical skills and expertise to the Board.”
