Sign up to Safety is a national campaign launched in 2015 and aiming to reduce avoidable harm to patients by focusing and driving safety improvements.
Our priority is to deliver safe care and to take action to reduce harm to our patients.
As a Trust we are committed to developing and improving patient outcomes and experience.
We have identified our Sign up to Safety priorities as:
- Reducing the number of avoidable falls that result in harm in our inpatient services by a third by March 2018.
- Implement approved checklists for all invasive procedures and provide assurance that these procedures are in place by March 2018. (In line with NHS guidance on National Safety Standards Procedures (NatSSIP and Local Safety Standard Procedures LocSSIP)
- Reduce the number of omitted medication errors by 50% by March 2018
