“I am delighted to announce that have just been appointed as the interim postgraduate dean for the West Midlands.
“I have been a consultant rheumatologist in Dudley since 2000 and proud to serve our patients as part of the multi-disciplinary rheumatology teamwhich has always been forward-thinking in patient care, research and education.
“My journey as an educator started as an educational supervisor before becoming a Royal College of Physicians tutor, clinical tutor then director of medical education in Dudley. From there, I took on deanery roles – firstly as a Foundation School director then, for five years, deputy postgraduate dean in Health Education England.
“It has been absolutely wonderful to see our trainees and students flourish in Dudley in all professions, many of whom have become our consultants, GP’s, nursing and allied health professional colleagues in our area. If my journey has inspired our young educators to take up leadership positions in the Dudley Group and beyond, I will have achieved my greatest ambition!”
