What is penile cancer?
Penile cancer is cancer of the penis. It is a rare cancer in the UK. It can develop anywhere on the penis but is most common under the foreskin in men who haven’t been circumcised or on the head of the penis (the glans).
Diagnosing penile cancer
Most men are diagnosed after going to see their GP when they notice symptoms and will referred to see a Urologist or Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) at the hospital. There you may undergo a number of tests and investigations, such as:
