Bags of Help bags £4,000 for The Dudley Group’s children’s appeal
The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust’s charity is delighted to announce it has bagged £4,000 from a Tesco funding scheme.
Tesco’s Bags of Help funding initiative sees grants raised from carrier bag sales which are then awarded to local community projects every year.
Shoppers in Dudley voted for the Trust’s children’s appeal at local Tesco stores using blue tokens given to them once they a purchased a bag during their visit.
The money will help the Trust’s children’s appeal so that they are able to purchase brand new equipment and facilities with children in mind, such as infra-red vein finders which are particularly effective for babies and children when veins do not always show.
Fundraising Manager Karen Phillips said, “We would like to thank everyone who selected the children’s appeal as part of the Bags of Help initiative in local Tesco stores.
“It is fantastic to raise awareness of this worthy cause and help make a difference to the experience children receive during their visit to hospital.”
