Dudley Group pharmacist shortlisted for healthcare innovation award
A Russells Hall Hospital prescribing pharmacist has been shortlisted for a prestigious award celebrating the best of innovation in healthcare around the region.
Oncology prescribing pharmacist Manesh Patel from West Bromwich has been given the nod in the Medicines Optimisation category of the West Midlands Academic Health Science Network (WMAHSN)’s second annual Celebration of Innovation awards.
Oncology prescribing pharmacist Manesh Patel works in surgical and medical prostate cancer clinics, supporting and managing patients throughout their journey from diagnosis to treatment and closely monitoring their responses to new cancer therapies.
Associate Director of Medicines Optimisation and Chief Pharmacist Ruckie Kahlon said, “I’m very proud of Manesh’s achievements over the years. The medical prostate cancer clinics have really come a long way and play such a crucial role in supporting the hospital pharmacy’s transformation plan.”
Winners will be announced on Thursday 20th July 2017 at the awards ceremony at the Hilton Metropole at Birmingham’s NEC.
