The Dudley Group NHS Charity is very excited to share that we have rebranded!

 New Logo

Based on feedback from our working group, staff members across the Trust and our key external stakeholders the chosen brand is the smile concept.

What does the Dudley smile mean?

For our patients and staff, the core emotion we strive for, as a charity is happiness, but happiness can come in many forms. Happiness can come from recovering from surgery with an iPad to playing with toys while mummy sees the doctor. It might also just be trying to provide some light with bereavement when everything is at its darkest.

Happiness. Light. Joy.

This sentiment can be adjusted for more sensitive audiences that the charity works with as you will see with examples in our guide.

New Strapline

Again, based on feedback our chosen winning strapline is ‘Making every day better’.

The Dudley Group NHS Charity exists to enhance the wellbeing and experience of patients, staff, and the community. By providing services and facilities over and above what our Trust and the NHS is can provide, we are making every day better for everyone – not just physically, but mentally and emotionally too.

Branding in Action

Our primary colours for the new rebrand are yellow and green, we are able to use blue, white and black for sensitive subjects. The image below gives you a snapshot of how the branding will be used:

For further information please review our new brand guideline here.

If you are planning on fundraising or promoting charitable funds please contact the charity team on dgft.fundraising@nhs.net before you use the new rebranding.

Our charity is not about providing healthcare, charitable donations we receive enable us to provide comfort and facilities above and beyond those provided by the NHS. Enhancing a person’s visit to us can make all the difference to their well-being, improving both their recovery and overall experience.

We want you to be confident that your donation will go where you want it to go.

The Dudley Group NHS Charity is an umbrella charity which looks after the charitable funds of all the wards and departments.  Our Registered Charity Number is 1056979.  Once your donation goes into the main charity account it will be directed immediately to your designated ward or department charity fund.  They get regular notifications of donations and the funds are spent by matrons and senior members of staff on the unit.  They are extremely grateful for charity donations and will always endeavour to spend them wisely.

Memory Tree

We now have a beautiful memory tree funded by The Dudley Group NHS Charity that can be found on the wall by the lifts near Russells Hall Hospital main reception.

You can dedicate a leaf in celebration, recognition, or remembrance of a loved one who has passed away by engraving their name on one. It is a place where you can take a moment to reflect and remember those we have lost.

If you would like a leaf dedicated in memory of Trust staff, who passed away whilst in service after 1st January 2018, please contact head of patient experience, Jill Faulkner on jill.faulkner1@nhs.net or extension 3200.

If you would like a leaf dedicated in memory of a patient, families or friends are able to, for a donation of £65 to the Trust Charity. Please contact the charity team on dgft.fundraising@nhs.net or extension 3349. If you would like to keep the leaf on the tree beyond the 12 months, you are able to, by providing an additional donation of £20 per year.
